The Vapid Stanier

Few sedan silhouettes are as familiar as the Vapid Stanier’s in GTA VI. Its design takes cues from the Ford Crown Victoria. Its long body, upright cabin and conventional three-box shape are instantly familiar, even without a roof sign or a set of flashing lights.

Four seats and rear-wheel drive keep the traditional American layout. This is the civilian Stanier, with its own appeal as a straightforward, recognizable road car. It looks natural outside a diner or parked among older sedans, and it adds something grounded to a collection of more dramatic machinery. Few silhouettes say ordinary traffic so clearly, even when the owner’s plans for the day are anything but ordinary.
