Behind the plain label sit serious sports sedans, executive cruisers and big old classics. Crown Victoria, Lexus GS, Audi, and Cadillac influences keep the class far from anonymous.
There is a particular kind of enthusiast who notices the sedan behind the exotic. The attraction might be a familiar executive-car design, a generous stretch of chrome or the long roof of a wagon. The Stanier '55 and Stratum cover those last two ideas, but the category reaches well beyond one era or body treatment. Older American luxury and more restrained European styling make their own case for four doors. A themed lineup could mean period cars with matching trim or a mix of everyday designs from around the world. Sedans rewards the player who looks past the obvious centerpiece.
